3 Ways Kitt Uses Washi Tape
Whether it’s during a LIVE stream, at a pop-up event and or just planning with friends I feel like one of the most common questions I hear is,
“How do you use washi tape?” and/or “What is it for?”
I could create a whole list here (and probably will eventually) but for now, I’ll just show you all the 3 ways I use my washi tape the most.
*disclaimer: This may or may not be news to you… but for some, it might. So just be kind and allow space for those who may have discovered a new way to use washi tape.
This is an easy and very useful way of using up your washi tape stash. Decorate your prints, polaroid photos, and posters (also, yes I am a pretty big Stray Kids fan thanks to Kristi of Riskit Design). Using your washi tape for this purpose is a very simple and easy way to color-coordinate your prints, polaroids and photos - giving them a way to stand out in your precious collection.
Just like the simple tan masking tape most of us carry in our households - washi tape can get the same jobs done and doubles as a great way to not only decorate your prints, polaroid photos, and posters but also to hang them at the same time!
Licking your envelopes to seal them or using a soggy wet sponge is definitely not cute… so why do it and ruin your precious happy mail?! :(
Instead of licking my outgoing happy mail letters and holiday greeting cards - I like to give my washi tape another way of having the spotlight (and also slimming down my stash to buy more) by using it as a seal for all of my happy mail.
Not only does it keep my mail in one piece but it also serves all the cute happy mail feels for the person receiving it! \ (•◡•) /
So next time you have to send out birthday cards, holiday greeting cards, or graduation invites get into your washi stash and find some that can help seal the deal.
Okay, this isn’t just a tip for the aesthetic but it really does skip having the weird ridges when using glue on this origami or translucent paper.
Washi tape is the bow wrapping on a gift when it comes to my journaling layouts. It gives a nice depth to the scraps being used and ties in symmetry with the two pages.
And…That’s it!
I hope this inspires new creative ways to use up your washi stash so you can make room for more hehe! If you like what you see check out our products in our shop under ‘Stickers’ -> ‘Series’ to find out these items in our Pawlloween 2022 collection.
